A vibrant green tea grown three weeks in the shade. Originates from the Uji district in Japan. Steeps a pale green cup with lingering sweet notes.
The name "gyokuro" translates as "jewel dew" or "jade dew", referring to the pale green color of the infusion.
Use 1 teaspoon per 8 oz. cup. Steep at 185º for 2 minutes. Tea can be re-infused multiple times by adding 1 minute to each additional steep.
