Bancha green tea with popped corn and toasted rice. Steeps a rich cup with a nutty sweetness.
Genmaicha originated centuries ago with a gesture of humility and conservation when Buddhist monks mixed green tea with the browned rice stuck to the bottom of their rice cauldrons.
Use 1 teaspoon per 8 oz. cup. Steep at 185º for 2 minutes. Tea can be re-infused multiple times by adding 1 minute to each additional steep.
