Steeping 

Use 1 teaspoon per 8 oz. cup. Steep at 210ºF (boiling) for 2 minutes. Recommended steep times range from 2-5 minutes at 210°F (boiling). We suggest that the you start with a 2 minute steep the first few times.

Caffeine content: Medium. Approximately 40-70 mg. 

On average, an 8-ounce cup of black tea contains approximately 14-80 mg of caffeine. However, some types of black tea may have higher caffeine levels, up to 90 mg per 8-ounce cup.  When you steep tea for a longer period, more caffeine is typically extracted from the tea leaves, resulting in a higher caffeine content in the brewed tea. This is because caffeine is water-soluble and leaches out of the leaves over time. So, longer steeping times usually mean stronger and more caffeinated tea.
