California Proposition 65 Warning
Explore
Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, was enacted as a ballot initiative in November 1986. The proposition protects the state of California's drinking water sources from being contaminated with chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and requires businesses to inform California residents only about exposures to such chemicals. Proposition 65 requires the state of California to maintain and update a list of chemicals known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity.
Due to the unique nature of this state specific law, we have to display a Prop65 Warning on all of our orders shipping to California only. Regardless of the items on the order, this warning is the same as posted in hotels, gas stations, airports, stores, golf courses, public parks and other public buildings throughout the state of California.
Testing every product for 800 substances on the Proposition 65 California list is almost impossible. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, we are placing a Proposition 65 label warning on orders shipped to California only.
