Kenilworth Black Tea

Kenilworth Black Tea is a delightful Ceylon black tea crafted from thin, wiry leaves. When steeped, it offers a full-bodied cup with a hint of sweet notes and no astringency. This prized tea is sourced from the renowned Kenilworth Estate in the Dimbula region of Ceylon, well-known for its flavorful and high-grade orange pekoe teas.

Steeping 

Use 1 teaspoon per 8 oz. cup. Steep at 212º F for 4 minutes. 

Caffeine content: Approximately 40-70 mg per 8 oz. cup.  

On average, an 8-ounce cup of black tea contains approximately 14-80 mg of caffeine. However, some types of black tea may have higher caffeine levels, up to 90 mg per 8-ounce cup.  When you steep tea for a longer period, more caffeine is typically extracted from the tea leaves, resulting in a higher caffeine content in the brewed tea. This is because caffeine is water-soluble and leaches out of the leaves over time. So, longer steeping times usually mean stronger and more caffeinated tea.
